FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 28, 2024 Contact: Diana Castañeda Diana@chcboldpac.com Latinas Won’t Forget Extreme Republicans Attacking Reproductive Freedoms and Access to IVF Washington D.C. - Today, CHC BOLD PAC Chairwoman Linda Sánchez issued the following statement regarding the hypocrisy of extreme House Republicans who are determined to take away reproductive freedom and access to IVF from Latinas: "Since the fall of Roe v. Wade , Republicans have taken advantage of the green light to roll over women’s freedoms. Working families won't forget in November that 125 House Republicans backed the Life at Conception Act to impose similar restrictions on IVF and fertility treatments as the Alabama Supreme Court ruling. Women, and especially Latinas, are suffering under the hand of Republican extremism, more than half of adult Latinas in the U.S. are of childbearing age.” said CHC BOLD PAC Chairwoman Linda Sánchez. “ Every time they get the chance, they rip any freedom women have over their lives, their health, their autonomy, and their path to motherhood to shreds. Republicans can’t treat women across the country with such blatant disregard and still expect to win this November.” The list of 125 House Republicans who co-sponsored the Life at Conception Act include: Don Bacon (NE-02) Yvette Herrell (NM-02) Mayra Flores (TX-34) David Valadao (CA-21) Michelle Steel (CA-45) The hypocrisy of extreme Republicans on abortion and reproductive care is astounding. For example, Michelle Steel used IVF to start her own family. But then she tried to close the door on other’s ability to use it. Now, she is attempting to backtrack her support, despite co-sponsoring legislation in line with this extreme ruling.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 27, 2024 Contact: Diana Castañeda Diana@chcboldpac.com CHC BOLD PAC Endorses Emily Randall in Washington's 6th Congressional District Washington D.C. - As part of its commitment to expanding Latino representation in Congress, today CHC BOLD PAC is endorsing Emily Randall in WA-06. CHC BOLD PAC Chairwoman Linda Sánchez released the following statement on this endorsement: “Emily Randall is the clear choice for Washington’s 6th District. As a former leader at Planned Parenthood and a champion for middle and working class people in the Senate, Emily is the only candidate we trust to stand up to extremism, defend reproductive freedom, and put hard working Washingtonians over corporations,” said CHC BOLD PAC Chairwoman Linda Sánchez . “Emily Randall will make history as the first out LGTBQ Latina ever elected to Congress. BOLD PAC is honored to stand behind her.” ABOUT EMILY RANDALL Born and raised in Washington’s 6th Congressional District, Emily Randall is the proud product of a union, working-class family–like many in the 6th District. She is fueled by her family’s experiences. When her sister Olivia, born with complex disabilities, received access to newly expanded Medicaid, Emily became a fierce advocate for quality, affordable healthcare. And as the first in her family to attend a four-year college, Emily knows the importance of education that aligns with the community’s needs and leads to family-wage jobs. Emily’s legislative track record proves she doesn’t just talk the talk, she gets results and wins the toughest races. In 2018 and 2022, Emily won the most competitive state senate district in Washington by focusing on the most important issues and her track record of success. In Congress, Emily will fight for affordable and accessible healthcare, including reproductive freedom for all; common-sense gun reform; a just transition to a green economy; and affordable education, job training, and apprenticeship programs. Emily’s ready to go beyond partisan politics and focus on the practical solutions that address the dynamic needs of the 6th District. CHC BOLD PAC BOLD PAC is the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) and is dedicated to increasing diversity in the House and Senate by getting more Latinos and Latinas elected. In 2022, BOLD PAC elected the largest Democratic CHC in history, bringing nine new Latinos to the House, including four in seats that were picked up by House Democrats. This was the result of over $6 Million in direct investments for Latino candidates, the largest sum in the organization’s history. Additionally, BOLD PAC played an integral role in protecting the Democratic majority in the Senate by helping re-elect Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, the first and only Latina in the Senate. ### CHC BOLD PAC, the campaign arm of the Hispanic Caucus, was founded in 2001 to increase Latino representation in Congress. Since its founding, BOLD PAC has almost doubled the size of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 20, 2024 Contact: Diana Castaneda Diana@chcboldpac.com ICYMI: NPR Highlights CHC BOLD PAC’s “Groundbreaking” War Room Exposing MAGA Republicans BOLD PAC is at the forefront of Democrats’ Latino outreach strategy launching Our Lucha War Room to boost candidates in key congressional races In Case You Missed It : CHC BOLD PAC – the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus – was recently highlighted in NPR for being at the forefront of combating misinformation targeting Latino voters through the launch of its new vigorous offensive effort, “Our Lucha War Room.” The outlet also emphasizes how BOLD PAC is leading Democrats’ Latino outreach strategy by launching a “groundbreaking” war room using Spanish and Spanglish to boost candidates in key congressional races. The first of its kind rapid response war room is backed by a six-figure initial budget. ROLL CALL: Latina candidates plan abortion rights push D a niela Altimari | January 2, 2024 Key Excerpts: BOLD PAC Executive Director Victoria McGroary: BOLD PAC, the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, plans to “lean in very hard” on the issue [of reproductive rights] this cycle, said Victoria McGroary , the group’s executive director. “We know that we are on the right side of the argument,” she said. “We know that voters hate the Republican position and that it is key to our path to victory.” “We know that Latinos want all the options on the table,” McGroary said. “This is [true] even among individual voters who may be more conservative in their own lives. Ultimately, they believe that this is a decision reserved for them and the people that they care about. They do not, in any way, shape or form, want politicians making that decision for them.” BOLD PAC Endorsed Candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (FL Senate): “It’s not only Democrats or independents — I have had conversations with Republican women [who say] that this is an issue that will bring them to the polls,” Florida Senate candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell said. “They’re not going to allow politicians to be in their visit with their doctor or in their bedroom telling them what they can or cannot do.” “This is the kind of control and extremism that we see in Latin American regimes, not here in the United States of America,” Mucarsel-Powell said. BOLD PAC Endorsed Candidate Allyson Muñiz Damikolas CA-40: “I think voters see this as a complex issue,” CA-40 candidate Allyson Muñiz Damikolas said. “And as a Latina, as someone who grew up in a Catholic family … I’m able to communicate this kind of complexity to voters in this district, and especially to women.” BOLD PAC Endorsed Candidate Michelle Vallejo TX-15: “Nobody other than [a] woman and her health care providers should be the ones making that decision,” TX-15 candidate Michelle Vallejo said. “It’s not right for politicians like [Texas Gov.] Greg Abbott or Monica De La Cruz or [Texas Sen.] Ted Cruz to be involved in these very private decisions.” Vallejo is one of at least seven Latina Democrats running for Congress in 2024 who have made access to abortion a cornerstone of their campaign. Republican vulnerabilities on abortion were exposed last month, when a Texas woman named Kate Cox was barred from obtaining an abortion after discovering that her fetus had a fatal genetic disorder. “We’re not talking about hypotheticals anymore,” Vallejo said. “This is a very real issue that is directly putting women and families in danger.” CHC BOLD PAC BOLD PAC is the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) and is dedicated to increasing diversity in the House and Senate by getting more Latinos and Latinas elected.
